Thank you for your interest in the ocean views of the Pacific Gulf of Nicoya. Up until recently investment in Costa Rica has focused strictly on established tourist areas. We believe for some there is a better alternative.  A smooth ride on paved roads less than 2 hours south of Liberia International Airport just south of the Guanacaste border in Jicaral, Nicoya Peninsula. Take a look. You will find no better value and the returns are going to multiply many times as development continues.

Pacific Gulf of Nicoya Ocean Views in the Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica

Today you can own beautiful ocean view property in Costa Rica at affordable prices. These are 1 to 5 acre hillside homesites with water and electric to the property line. We call our project Brisas La Tigra. Brisas means breezes. A remarkable steady ocean breeze flows up from the Gulf to our site. It is fairly isolated yet the property has both municipal and private roads.

Brisas La Tigra has aspects of a deed restricted community in that the basics of good taste are a given. No light or noise pollution!  When you are ready to build, we are committed to assuring high speed internet for every home site.

If you love eco-tourism and adventure; you will love the small mountainside community known as  La Tigra just outside Jicaral, Puntarenas.

The air is fresh and cool. It is a peaceful, safe place for a rejuvenating get-away or retirement home.

Of course all our home sites have fabulous views of the Gulf of Nicoya. See our video including the Island of Venado under the Views-Village tab above.

This is not a tourist beachtown. However, both local beachesand the world class beaches of the Nicoya Peninsula are less than an hour's drive away.

Also one can easily at anytime take a wonderful day trip to the isolated beaches of the Islands of the Gulf including Venado, San Lucas, Chira and many others.

Fishing, birdwatching and pleasant destinations are a short boat ride away. You can see what it is like in this video.

If you like nature preserves and fabulous waterfalls, take a look at the tab above called Preservation where we have a video on the exotic Karen Mogensen Reserve. You can reach the entrance to this preserve with a 30 minute drive from Jicaral.

Infrastructure Growing Fast !

Brisas La Tigra is a great point of departure and is benefiting from the inevitable growth of the tourism infrastructure throughout the country.

Costa Rica is filling out all the amenities of modern life and infrastructure at a breath-taking pace.

Infrastructure improvements are underway all over Costa Rica including right here in Jicaral.  Even fortune 500 hundred companies Intel, HP and as well as international consultants KPMG have significant facilities in Costa Rica.

Marinas, bridges, highways, small and medium sized technology firms, high end retreats, hotels including the Four Seasons and many others are all making significant contributions to the strengthening of Costa Rica's infrastructure.

There is a broad powerful trend toward modernization and integration into the world economy which is reminicent of rural states in the USA 40 years ago.
Costa Rica welcomes people from all over the world.

Economic development brings some welcome changes of course. But the hillside of La Tigra is a traditional neighborhood, where families have lived for generations. Our focus is enjoying the quality of life and contributing to that life. We find that people are reserved but friendly and always helpful.

Send for our DVD called In Their Own Words where we have interviews with locals (translated and in English) about life in the small town of Jicaral.
